Saving Energy, Saves Money!
The average home spends about $1900 on energy costs every year. One way to reduce this amount is to purchase 'Energy Star' rated appliances. A savings of 4-5% can be accomplished by making this choice.
Sun River Electric Cooperative wants to encourage you to make this choice by offering an appliance rebate program. To qualify for a rebate, eligible appliance models must be installed within the SREC service area. 'Energy Star' rated appliances can be found at www.energystar.gov or by contacting SREC.
Rebate Amounts:
Energy Star Clothes Washer - $25.00
Energy Star Dishwasher - $25.00
Energy Star Refrigerator - $25.00
Energy Star Freezer - $25.00
Program Details:
Purchase a qualifying appliance and install it in the SREC service territory. Complete the rebate form, attach a copy of the sales receipt showing the brand name and model number of qualifying appliance(s) and send both to SREC. SREC staff will validate the rebate form and model information and credit your account the appropriate rebate amount. SREC reserves the right to inspect the appliance in the residence. Receipts must be submitted within 90 days of purchase.
